Arte Gallery presents the exhibition “Steps Through Time – Generations,” featuring paintings by the renowned Bulgarian actor and director Ivan Andonov (1934–2011) and sculptures by the younger artist Sava Tsonev. The exhibition was conceived by Arte Gallery as part of a session of the Ministry of Culture dedicated to targeted funding for projects in the field of visual arts. The intention behind “Steps Through Time – Generations” is to pay tribute to the traditions of Bulgarian fine art by demonstrating their continued relevance and continuity. The project provides a platform for artists who are new to the gallery’s program, such as Sava Tsonev, placing them in dialogue with established figures like Ivan Andonov, whose works have been exhibited many times over the years, thereby highlighting the importance of the connection between generations.
